Verified St. Germain Property Owners with a valid Yard Waste Facility permit see Chapter 29 Town Procedures
Permit Applications are available here Yard Waste Facility Permit Application, return completed application to the Clerk's Office along with payment. The Permit is an annual permit to utilize the facility and expires on the last day of the calendar year. The Permits are issued per vehicle, therefore if you have two vehicles you will need to pay for two Permits.
Yard waste only:

Tree and bush trimmings/branches up to 6" in diameter and no longer than 5', leaves and house/garden plants, brush and grass clippings. |

|
Downed trees/branches, due to a storm event; not to exceed 12" and no longer than 5'. |
|
|
Logs up to 6" in diameter must be under 5' long. |
|
|
No stumps, no root balls, no clay/dirt, no boulders/rocks/gravel, no scrap metal, no building materials. |
Violation of Chapter 29.28 may result in revocation of Yard Waste Facility Permit at the discretion of the Supervisors appointed to oversee the Yard Waste Facility.
Commercial Contractors do not qualify for a Yearly Yard Waste Facility Permit.
The Yard Waste Facility is only open during posted hours of operation and is under surveillance.
June 13: 8am-12pm

For the above days/hours only, you may bring your completed application and payment to the Yard Waste Facility to obtain a permit.

Garbage and Recyclables
8021 Dump Road, St. Germain, WI 54558
(Hwy155 to Pedycort Road to 8021 Dump Road)
The Town trash and recyclables transfer station off Pedycort Road is now being managed by Republic Services. Payment for trash drop-off has been changed from cash to punch cards. This is intended to expedite drop offs and eliminate handling of cash by the attendant. Punch cards do not expire and can be purchased at either Republic Service's main office in Eagle River or at the transfer station.
Punch card options are:
- 10 punch card - $40
- Up to 30# bag without punch card - $5
- Over 30# bag without punch card - $10
Punch cards are required only for TRASH disposal.
Non-restricted recyclables continue to be free of charge.
Restricted recyclables are not accepted at this site.

Current Recycling Center Rates:
The Vilas County Recycling Amnesty program allows Vilas County property owners to obtain a voucher which is good for up to $15 towards the cost of disposing of or recycling tires, appliances, and electronics.
Vouchers are available from your local municipal office and the Vilas County Zoning Office and are valid for sixty (60) days from the date of issuance. Vouchers are for residential use only and are limited to two per household per year. Vouchers are disbursed until funds are no longer available.
Items may be taken to these locations, however it is recommended that residents contact the providers to determine what materials they accept and what costs are associated with each item.

The Highway G Landfill is located approximately 9 miles west of Highway 45 in Eagle River on County Trunk G. It is operated by the Landfill Venture Group and is not affiliated with Vilas County Government.
